Robert C. Schneider

Practice Areas, Real Estate/Transactional, Corporate, Private/ Public Finance

A Special Counsel to the firm, Bob is primarily involved in the handling of commercial and public finance transactions including the purchase and sale of businesses and assets, commercial finance including asset-based lending, long term and revolving credit loans as well as commercial, real, and personal property financing. He represents borrowers, banks, trustees, and bond purchasers in the areas of tax-exempt and taxable bonds, interest-rate swaps and similar derivatives, and the privatization of municipal assets. Additionally,
he represents a diverse group of business and municipal clients varying from manufacturing to distribution, equipment leasing,
health care, airlines, and a wide range of service companies.

Bob has acted as general or special financing counsel to corporations on projects such as the representation of housing, commercial and/or industrial property developers and operators, healthcare institutions, corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies throughout the United States. He has also drafted legislation to create several public finance clients, develop business assistance programs, and utilize federal housing and clean water programs on a state and local level, and assisted the boards and staff of clients in the effective implementation of these programs. Bob has extensive experience with water and electric utilities and federal and state regulatory issues.

He has served as key person on state-of-the-art financings including private equity transactions, "low-floater" bond issues, letter of credit-backed issues, multiple-mode issues and flexible-bond issues.
